This is how and what we do
Book your event through our calendar on the Your Table website. A Your Table representative will contact you thereafter to confirm your booking, guest number and dietary requirements. The Your Table chefs will adjust the current menu to suit your needs and dietary requirements. Once the menu has been confirmed a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
The Your Table service prepares most of the food off-site and will arrive an hour before your event to set up. You set a time that the first course is served and once the last course is enjoyed, the Your Table team will pack up and leave you with a clean kitchen and satisfied guests.
The only thing to do before we arrive is to set any decorations that you might like on the table, for example, flowers, candles etc. We prefer a clean and simple working environment but we can suggest minimal table decor and flower bowls. On our arrival, our professional team will set the tables with all the necessary crockery, cutlery and glassware.
The Your Table team supplies all crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen serviettes. Unfortunately, we do not provide tables, chairs or tables cloths at this time.
The Your Table service prepares most of the food off-site. We also bring a portable gas stove in case of load shedding, so we will be able to do the final meal preparation and serving to the best of our abilities if there were to be an electricity cut.
For a seated, 7 course menu we cater for up to 20 guests.
With the amount of preparation and care it takes to present a tasting menu to this level, we require a minimum of 8 guests.
We travel to wherever you would like the event to be held, provided it is held in the Johannesburg / Pretoria area.
Your Table works with a team to come up with a story which is presented in 7 different courses. Our events are curated so that each course is part of that story. We adapt the menus based on dietary requirements, seasonality and particular preferences. Our chefs change the themes every 2 – 4 months. There are between 2 and 4 menus available.
Our chefs can cater for most dietary requirements. Unfortunately, we cannot provide Kosher or Halal catering, due to the strict dietary rule.
Wine pairings are an optional extra that can be added to the menu at an additional fee. When the wine pairing is chosen, we pair the wine to your menu and wine glasses are supplied.
